Stephen's Non-Verbal

A gesture does not translate to the online world as far as written documents go. A gesture is a form of non-verbal communication, and a person online can not read how a person's facial expression is, or any manerisms that they are showing. They are usually just reading a text document.

The only way that a gesture/non-verbal form of communication can be seen in the online world is through video/pictures. Through these, people are getting a view into the documented point in a persons life. There they can see all the gestures that the person gave while conveying their message.

Overall, the importance of gestures is greatly reduced in the online world strictly because people are always getting a visual picture of whats going on. Gestures play a much bigger role in the real world, where people are constantly meeting each other and conversing directly.
